Step 2 Configure Points in this Device:

Basic Configuration Steps:

After selecting the "Configure Points for this Device" button,  eDrive will display the following page where individual points for this Device can be defined.

The input fields in the Device Points section will vary based on the type of device selected.  Property details for points based on each Device Type are found in the Technical Reference section of this help file.

Device Point Properties    (For this example, the Device Points Properties for typical points in a Modbus TCP Electric Meter are shown.)
Enabled By default, this option is enabled.  When unchecked, this point will be omitted from polling.
Name Enter a descriptive name for this point that will be used within eDrive.  If the Name property contains a '/' (forward slash) character, it will be treated as a path name in the tree hierarchy of eDrive points.  In this manner points can be grouped together in a logical organization within eDrive.
Function Code Select the Modbus Function Code used to poll for the value of this point.
Register Number Enter the Modbus Register Number for the point.
Register Type Select the Modbus Register Type from the list.  (various options for 16-bit, 32-bit, and 64-bit values)
Bit Mask How often the points in this device will be polled.
Block Instructs eDrive to begin a new block when grouping multiple registers together into a single request.
Value [Read Only] This field will be empty at first when new points are entered into the table.  Once eDrive has polled for point values, the most recent value will appear in this field.
Response [Read Only] Displays the most recent elapsed time of response for this point in seconds.
(copy icon) Creates a copy of the Point object in this row of the table.
(delete icon) Deletes the Point object in this row of the table.
(properties icon) Opens a form that offers additional properties for this point (offset, multiplier, history settings, etc.)
