The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
Objective
With more than 6,000 works of art in its collection, The Cummer requires a high degree of HVAC system reliability to ensure the works are protected from potentially damaging environmental conditions. In addition, a comfortable environment is a requirement to provide the museum’s many visitors with an enjoyable experience.
Solution
Facility Automation Solutions has partnered with The Cummer since 1997 to control and monitor the museum’s HVAC and central plant systems, including a special humidity sequencing system that is vital to the preservation of the museum’s irreplaceable works of art. A remote access capability provides managers with the ability to monitor the building environment from off-site and during non-business hours.
Results
The Cummer has achieved the high degree of facility system reputation that its managers view as a critical requirement to fulfilling the institution’s mission. With the reliability and repeatability of the FAS system, the Cummer Museum is able to insure to the owners of the visiting priceless items of art, both the ability to maintain proper conditions and also log those conditions during the entire duration of it’s time at the museum.
